To help address the dire need in our community for immigration legal services, The Legal Aid Society of Rochester’s Batavia Pro-Bono Project assigns volunteer attorneys to detainees at the Federal Detention Center in Batavia, NY. Volunteers will be provided access to relevant training and resources and will be connected with an attorney mentor specializing in Immigration Law. Mentor attorneys will assist volunteers with client coordination as well as representation and trial needs.
Volunteers must be licensed to practice law in the United States and currently have or be able to obtain a secure pass to access the Federal Detention Center in Batavia.
